Pen Y Castell Barn is a haven of tranquillity sitting above the coastal village of Llanrhystud with breathtaking views of Cardigan Bay, the Lynn Peninsular and distant mountains, conveniently situated for visiting the many attractions of West Wales and beyond.
Pen Y Castell Barn is just two miles to nearby Llanrhystud, which offers a local shop, post office, garage, and pub restaurant. There's a dog friendly pebble beach with sand at low tide to enjoy a day at the seaside or walks along the shore. You can access the Wales Coast Path at Llanrhystud and there is a regular bus service to Aberystwyth, Aberaeron and coastal towns.
Penrhos Park golf course just 1.5 miles away, is open to the public for a round of golf, access to the driving range, swimming pool, gym or the bar and restaurant.
Aberaeron with its excellent selection of shops, cafes and bars along the pretty pastel coloured terraces is just 6.8 miles along the coast.
For more facilities the university town of Aberystwyth is situated just 8 miles to the North.
Upon entering the barn, the hallway leads down to the large, open-plan lounge and dining room. The lounge benefits from a sumptuous, three-seater leather sofa and large corner sofa. There is a gas stove feature fire in the large, original inglenook fireplace which is perfect for cosy evenings in. There's a TV with DVD player and a selection of books, games and DVDs. Completing the room is a dining table for six. Adjacent to the lounge is a well-equipped country kitchen with an additional dining space at the breakfast table. Both the lounge and kitchen enjoy fabulous, uninterrupted views over the fields towards Cardigan Bay and the rolling countryside landscape. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor, both king-size with one having an en-suite bath and overhead shower, and the other with en-suite shower. Upstairs there are two twin rooms each with an en-suite shower room.
Externally, the barn benefits form a fully enclosed lawned garden with a picnic bench and outdoor seating and BBQ. Dine al fresco on warmer evenings or simply relax with a cool drink and take in the incredible sunsets over the bay.
